THE MERKAB THE LORD'S JUDGMENT AND HARVEST THRONE
INTRODUCTION
For many years Branches and Davidians have awaited the coming of the "Merkabah Throne." Many have met great disappointment because they did not understand the time and the event centered around its appearing. Especially Lois Roden has written much on the subject. She authored a series of tracts entitled "The Merkabah", Parts 1-4. In her last publication she ended with the words "To Be Continued In The Merkabah Part 5". Unfortunately Lois died before she could write the continuation. Providentially the Lords chose another to continue this inspired and timely responsibility. No one has attempted to publish a sequel tract until now.
The following study is about the Lord coming to earth on His Seat of Judgment during the Harvest. After Christ The Branch finished His Mediatorial work in heaven, the Father gave Him His Throne (The Merkab - the masculine form of The Merkabah) along with all power and authority in heaven and earth. The Branch has come to His professed believers in the earth (USA), as a "thief in the night", to execute the Judgment of the Living and gather in the Harvest. The content of this publication has come from studies compiled by The Living Waters Branch of Righteousness over the past three years, beginning at Passover 1990, and continuing up to Pentecost 1993. It is hoped that you will find this publication informative and enlightening.
The Testimony of Jesus - the Word of God - as in the Spirit of Prophecy will be revealed in a whole new light throughout the pages of this work. It will be better understood how the finishing up of the Atonement is accomplished in these last days through Our Sacrifice, Our High Priest, Our Judge, Our Intercessor and Our King. The sacrificial offerings of the antitypical Day of Atonement will be outlined and the manner in which they fulfill all righteousness will be discussed. The House of God is investigated, sealed, counted and judged according to her acceptance or rejection of the Word of Truth sent to her through the Living Spirit of Prophecy. Our only hope for restoration and a return to godliness is to accept the latter rain (reign) of the Holy Ghost - the Other Intercessor - in truth and in power.

THE JUDGMENT AND THE HARVEST
THE JUDGMENT OF THE DEAD
During the years of 1831-1844, William Miller's Midnight Cry Message announced the imminent Judgment. As we look back, history has shown us that The Judgment or Cleansing of the Sanctuary began at the close of the Prophetic 2300 Days on Oct. 22, 1844 with the Investigative Phase of the Judgment of the Dead.
The Judgment of the Dead had three major sections:
1) The Investigative Phase, Atonement 1844 to Passover 1888;
2) The Judicial Phase, Passover 1888 to Atonement 1929;
3) The Executive Phase, Atonement 1929 to Passover 1959.
The Judgment of the Dead ended at Passover in 1959, when the Davidian Movement had its predicted disappointment due to the false prophecy of the 42 months by Florence Houteff, a self-appointed prophet. Therefore, The Judgment of the Living began at Atonement in 1959 with the Executive Phase of the Judgment of the Dead, which was the predicted judgment of the Davidian Seventh-Day Adventist church. This judgment left the Davidians outside the hedge of Present Truth, since they did not progress with The Branch Message and messenger.
Victor Houteff s work was like William Miller's because Houteff only announced the Judgment of the Living. However, the message that Houteff brought was also the Executive Phase of the Judgment of The Dead, since his message began a new movement, that was, in effect, judging the 'mother1 movement (SDA) during this overlap period. John the Baptist came and "laid the ax to the root of the tree;" the fig tree, Israel and its leadership, the Sanhedrin. Houteff’s message announced The Judgment of the Living and brought judgment to modern Israel (SDA) and its Laodicean leadership. The Shepherd's Rod Message prepared a people to receive the Message about Christ The Branch, our High Priest, and His work during the Judgment and Harvest time, the Judgment of the Living.
In February of 1955, V.T. Houteff met an untimely death, as did John the Baptist. A God-appointed individual filled the office of inspiration that became vacant. Benjamin Roden was anointed with a message about Christ The Branch, our High Priest, and His work during the time of the Antitypical Day Atonement - the Judgment and Harvest time. This message began to be revealed to Ben L. Roden approximately three months after Brother Houteff’s death (murder!?).
THE JUDGMENT OF THE LIVING
After V.T. Houteff’s death, the message of the Branch was taught for approximately three and one half years, during which Ben L. Roden announced the imminent approach of the Judgment of the Living, through the Seven Letters to The Executive Council of the Davidian Seventh-Day Adventist Association (Florence Houteff) and also The Seven Letters to the General Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists (1957). Note: The announcement does not constitute the actual beginning of the Judgment. It is the herald of warning that announces that the Judgment is about to begin at a definite time and with a specific fulfillment of the types and symbols ordained of God in the ceremonial harvest rites (feasts) of the Jewish economy.
Ben L. Roden explained, "We taught that at the beginning of 1957, God had caused the sword to fall out of the hand of King Pharaoh. At that time we did not know what this meant, but in 1958 we learned that this prophecy had met its exact fulfillment. While we were at Autumn Council in Washington, D.C. in October 1956, we attempted to tell the General Conference Brethren that the Judgment of the Living would start for S.D.A. October 22. 1956.... The Conference Committee at the same time, or immediately afterwards, had conferred with the editors of the Eternity Magazine and said the committee denied the Spirit of Prophecy in the S.D.A. Church, the Sanctuary Truth, and the sanctifying sign of the Sabbath (their Sword)....
"Note: 1525 plus 390 (first part of Ezek. 4 prophecy) = 1915 - death of Mrs. E. G. White. Here marks the second portion (40 years) of the 430 years as pertained to the world. The world fasts for 40 years, at the end of which a message was to come that would revive the living testimony, purge out hypocrites, and turn the church back into favor with God. (EW p 288) However it takes a period of time for God to BRING ABOUT REFORMATION AND THE MESSAGE TO GO TO THE WORLD. The Harvest (Judgment of the Living) is a period of time (5Tract p 64). Hence, 1915 plus 40 = 1955 - cessation of the latter rain of Truth to the church (Rev 7:1-8, sealing of the 144,000) and the beginning of the reformation, or the coming of that OTHER ANGEL (message) that is to 'lighten the earth with His Glory.' Vol. 6 Testimonies to the Church p 406; Rev 18:1...
The 1530 - date has to do with the purification of the church and is calculated by the Abrahamic prophecy of 430 years, the type1 (1 SR p 116); 'Going Out of Egypt' (2 SR p 275). The Abrahamic prophecy is divided into two parts, 400 and then 30 years (1 SR p 109). (Luther inflicts deadly wound at Augsburg) 1530 plus 400 = 1930 (Shepherd's Rod Message) plus 30 = 1960 • purification of the church, Eze 9, Antitypical Passover, the smiting of the first born (the ministry) in Antitypical Egypt, the church (S.D.A.). THOSE WHO DO NOT HAVE THE FINAL ATONING BLOOD OF THE LAMB OF GOD (THE BRANCH, G.C. P 415) ON THE DOOR POSTS OF THEIR HEARTS, WHICH IS USED BY THE HIGH PRIEST (CHRIST) TO BLOT OUT SINS IN THE FINAL ATONEMENT (FOR THE LIVING) IN THE COURTS ABOVE, WILL FALL IN THE SLAUGHTER OF EZE 9 (ANTITYPICAL PASSOVER).
"From the Augsburg Confession (1530) to the purification is 430 years = 1960. THOSE WHO AGREE WITH THE 'DRAGON' THAT THE FULL AND FINAL ATONEMENT WAS MADE AT THE CROSS, GO DOWN IN THE SLAUGHTER OF EZE 9. THIS RELEASES GOD'S TRUE PEOPLE FROM ANTITYPICAL PHARAOH'S GRASP.
"THEREFORE, THE FINAL WORK OF PLACING THE THREEFOLD SEAL (EW P15; Rev 3:12) IS ACCOMPLISHED IN TOUR SHORT YEARS.' FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE JUDGMENT OF THE LIVING IN THE CHURCH (D.S.D.A.) OCTOBER 1955 TO AUTUMN OF 1959 IS FOUR YEARS. THE BRANCH BUILDS THE TEMPLE (Zech 6:12 - marks 144,000). - Lesson # 3, "Details of the 430 Year Prophecy According to Abraham & Ezekiel 4- In Three Steps," July 10,1958.
"... in the parable only after the third fruitless year would the Lord consider to wait another year.... nevertheless, as in the parable, no fruitless tree is to be spared beyond the fourth parabolic year." - 2 Timely Greetings p 46.
Thus when the wise ones started out to meet the Bridegroom, the lamps of the foolish went out... and thus were left in darkness. At the beginning of the judgment of God they saw their mistake and rushed for the ark of safety; but, it was beyond their reach for they knew nothing of the message and by the time they acquired it there had been a delay; the angel had passed through the city, through Jerusalem; the church - the sealing was finished and probation for the church had closed - the door was shut." - 2 Shepherd's Rod p 185.
"We see that when the judgments of God begin to fall the foolish virgins realize their mistake, and rush for the ark of safety (the Kingdom), but it is too late - the saints (wise virgins) are sealed and probation is closed. The judgments of God start before they rush for the ark and when they get there the door is shut. What a shame, what a tragedy, for one to put off salvation so long -almost saved but entirely lost.... Revealed truth is your only hope of salvation, therefore, stand firm on the rock in a message that shows the past, the present and the future - message that fits Spirit of Prophecy, The message itself sheds light as to the time when this movement is to take place. It is declared to be part of the everlasting gospel: and it announces the opening of the Judgment. The message of salvation has been preached in all ages, but this message is a part of the gospel, which could be proclaimed only in the last days, for only then would it be true that the hour of judgment had come. "The great day was (is) at hand, and in His providences the people were (are) brought to the test of a definite time, in order to reveal to them what was (is) in their hearts." - G.C. p355; 353.
Ben Roden began expounding the message through The Branch Lessons, beginning with Lesson One (Jan. 1958) containing the subject of "The 430 Year Prophecy in Light of Ezekiel Nine", and ending with Lesson Seven (May 25, 1958) containing the subject of "THE BRANCH - Revelation 18:1". In these lessons he taught the swift approach of The Judgment of The Living. Although it was to begin at a future date, it was still imminent.
THE THIRTY YEAR OVERLAP OF THE SIXTH AND SEVENTH SEALS
The thirty-year overlap of The Sixth and The Seventh Seals was announced at Atonement 1959, but was not actualized until Passover 1960 when the Investigative Judgment of the Living began in VERITY. The separation and cleansing among the Living could not begin until The Passover was instituted by The Branch in 1960 at the fulfillment of The 430 Year Prophecy (1530 + 430 = 1960 - "Augsburg Confession" - the infliction of the deadly wound to the papacy - when the Branch begins to set up His earthly Kingdom. (Lesson #2 p4, Details of the 430-year ending and Third Angel's Message)
The Judgment of the Dead-ended in verity at the institution of The Passover, beginning The Executive Phase of the Judgment of the Dead - Ezekiel 9, the separation and spiritual slaughter of the Davidian SDA Movement. This also marked the literal beginning of the Investigative Phase of the Judgment of The Living - the sealing and purification of the Church.
The major phases of the Judgment and Harvest for the Living are as follows:
1) The Investigative Phase - Righteousness By Faith: Announced at Atonement 1959; began at Passover 1960 and ended Passover 1990 - The Branch, our High Priest, in the Most Holy Place of the Heavenly Sanctuary carries out His Mediatorial Judicial Blood and Book Work, - The Sealing of the Living. Those that had faith in The Branch and His heavenly work for them received the merits of His righteousness - keeping of feasts and the daily hour of prayer.
2) The Judicial Phase — Counting and Separation: 1990 Passover to 1993 Passover -
The Branch came to His body of professed believers in the earth, as a "thief in the night", on His Traveling Judicial Throne, to perform His Work of Counting and Separation, to literally number and separate the "just and the unjust"; this is a three year period during which the fig tree (BDSDA) is still barren - without the fruit of the Spirit. It is then pruned and fertilized (chastened), and another year is determined, at the end of which the tree will be cut down if it bears no fruit. "The Flood Type" of 377 days is to begin to be fulfilled in antitype at the Second Passover of this year. The fig tree must bear fruit on its branches by Pentecost of 1994 - the end of the four short years. '90 - '94.
3) The Executive Phase — Impartation of the Righteousness of Christ: 1993 Passover to 1996 Atonement - (42 months) The Judge and King executes the verdict arrived at during His Mediatorial Judicial Work. The just will receive the impartation of His righteous character through the Holy Ghost's Message and Intercessory Work, while the unjust will bring forth the unrighteous character of the beast and will be slaughtered by the Holy Ghost's Message and Work. The execution of the Judgment begins with the slaughter of The Branch Truth (1993), and will include the slaughter of The Davidian, and The Seventh-Day Adventist Movements respectively, at their appointed times, indicated in the harvest rites. All three of these movements will be purified from their tares. Their remnant will be gathered together under the Holy Ghost's direction into one body having one faith, one truth, one Spirit, and one baptism. The fig tree (BDSDA) was pruned and fertilized when the Branch Davidian "compound" was besieged and burned to the ground by the federal troops (Assyrian army). The message of the Holy Ghost given to them in 1984, in 1990, and again in 1993 was to no avail. It did not bring forth the fruit of repentance and reformation. They continued in their apostasy and rebellion making the name of The Branch and His Truth a curse in all the earth!
It is important to note from the preceding quotes, that there was a four year period before the beginning of the Investigative Phase of the Judgment for the Living. It occurred during the Executive Phase of the Judgment of the Dead 1955-1959. This was the appointed time the Davidian SDA Movement was judged by the Message about Christ the Branch and was spiritually slaughtered.
There is also a four-year period after the Investigative Phase of the Judgment of the Living. It occurred during the Judicial and the Executive Phase 1990-1994. During this time the Branch DSDA Movement was judged by the Branch She, the Holy Ghost message and messenger. There was a literal slaughter at New Mt. Carmel after Passover 1993, on the ninth day of the counting of the omer. The omer is counted from the day of the offering of the wavesheaf to the day of Pentecost. This chastening (judgment Ezek. 9) did prune and fertilize the fig tree that it might bear fruit after one year - the year constituting "The Flood Type". According to this type a great flood of latter rain truth falls from heaven thereby cleansing the earth by the Truth of The Living Waters Branch of Righteousness, the Angel of Rev 18:1 Who lightens the whole earth with Christ's Glory and Righteousness.
THE JUDGMENT OF THE LIVING INVESTIGATIVE PHASE - PASSOVER 1960
"I am however certain that God will not keep us ignorant of the things we ought to know. If it becomes necessary ahead of time the day and hour of the purification of the church, the Antitypical Passover, we will be told." 2TG 41:3:3 (from The Feasts #7, p 2, Ben L Roden).
"Conclusively, then, since the wavesheaf is barley, the first ripe grain, first of the firstfruits (Exodus 23:19), and is offered at Passover which is at the beginning of the harvest of the first-fruits; and since these harvest rites are a figure of soul harvests; and also since those who arose with Christ became a typical living wavesheaf presented as trophies before The Father in Heaven (3 Tract p 79:2); we conclude that since THE MEDIATORIAL JUDICIAL THRONE of Ezekiel One extends to the earthly sanctuary (church) (3Tract p46-47) there must be an Antitypical wavesheaf offered before God's Traveling Throne on earth at that time (Passover).... "The church is judged (names investigated in the books in Heaven, 3 Tr. 50-51; 54:1; 2TG 42-31:2; SAB 30:1) in the time of the Sixth Seal (1 Timely Greetings p 5-11:1), the time in which the 144,000 are sealed (2 Shepherd's Rod p 165:2)...
"Since the 144,000 firstfruits are judged (counted) in the time of the Seventh Seal (2 Shepherd's Rod p 220:1,2) all that The Lord could possibly have at the time of His arrival in His JUDICIAL THRONE to start THE COUNTING of the 144,000 (judging, inspecting the "wedding guests") would be the wavesheaf who are to gather the 144,000 wave loaves." - The Feasts #1 page 3.
From the first statement we can see that The Merkab Throne or Mediatorial Judicial Throne of Ezekiel 1 extends to the earthly sanctuary, the church, at the time of Passover. This event took place at Passover 1960 and began a thirty-year Mediatorial Judicial Work. We understand that during the Judgment of the Dead, Christ's Mediatorial Work in the heavenly Sanctuary was an Investigation of the Books of the Records of those Dead who received Him by faith as their Mediator.
Therefore, in the Judgment of the Living, The Merkab Throne comes to earth at Passover to begin the Mediatorial Judicial Work with the Investigation of the Books of the Records of the Living who accepted Christ The Branch as their Mediator and High Priest in the Most Holy Place of the Heavenly Sanctuary.
There is a thirty-year overlap of The Sixth and The Seventh Seals during The Judgment of The Living. The Mediatorial Judicial Work for the Living begins at the opening of the Seventh Seal while the Sixth Seal, representing the time of harvest for the Judgment of the Dead, is still open. Therefore, this major phase is entitled, The Mediatorial Judicial Work". Mediatorial suggests an Investigation of the Books of the Living, in the time of harvest, during the Sixth Seal. Judicial suggests a Sealing and Numbering in the Books of the Living, in the time of judgment, during the Seventh Seal. This combined work constitutes the Judgment and the Harvest, the sealing and numbering of the Living in the church.
"THE SEALING PHASE" OF THE JUDGMENT OF THE LIVING
"The 144,000 are sealed in the time of the judgment of the church. Since the 144,000 are sealed before the silence of a half an hour, this judgment could not be for the 144,000, which comes after the half hour silence. The judgment spoken of here is the judgment of the church (DSDA-1955 to 1959 - four short years), not for the 144,000. This sealing period is very short (Early Writings p 58). It comes at the end of the latter rain of truth or "in the time between the latter rain of truth (Shepherd's Rod Message) and the outpouring of The Spirit's power... "The 'latter rain1 of truth "at a MONTH" ceased in 1955 at the passing of the messenger. Read November Symbolic Code Vol. 11-1:14. This year (1955) also marked the beginning of THE BRANCH MESSAGE - THE JUDGMENT OF THE LIVING IN THE CHURCH AND SEALING OF THE 144,000 WHICH WE HAVE UNDERSTOOD WOULD BE ACCOMPLISHED IN FOUR SHORT YEARS (1TGr 10:20:1) - a very short period of time (Early Writings p 58). But do not confuse this JUDGMENT FOR THE CHURCH (Davidian SDA) with that of the 144,000 AFTER THE HALF HOUR SILENCE as some have in the past.... The end of this period should bring us to the time of the HALF AN HOUR SILENCE, the ANTITYPICAL PASSOVER." - The Harvest, p 7, April 5,1960.
"What made the half hour silence? As the judgment opened, John states, 'And out of The Throne... proceeded.... VOICES.... (Rev. 4:5,8). The VOICES ARE DAY AND NIGHT while the Judgment of the Dead is going on. BUT SOMETIME AFTER THE SEVENTH SEAL WAS OPENED these voices were silenced for about half an hour.... Evidently the Judgment, for some reason, HAD STOPPED, and HALF AN HOUR LATER IT RESUMED.... "What made the interruption, and brought about the change? ... We conclude 'HALF AN HOUR' or SEVEN DAYS stands for THE PURIFICATION OF THE CHURCH, pointing forward to the FULFILLMENT OF MALACHI 3:1-6.... We plainly see:
1) The HALF HOUR SILENCE is seven days between the Judgment of the Dead and the Judgment of the Living;
2) The HALF HOUR SILENCE stands for the PURIFICATION OF THE CHURCH - the PASSOVER IN ITS ANTITYPE - the CHURCH GOING OUT OF WORLDLINESS - EGYPT; SEPARATION of the wheat from the tares.
3) The LORD'S SUPPER is the ANTITYPICAL PASSOVER and is observed AT PASSOVER TIME. IT IS INSTITUTED WHEN THE TIME COMES TO SEPARATE THE TARES FROM THE WHEAT.
4) THE HARVEST or JUDGMENT FOR THE 144,000 LIVING SAINTS BEGINS AFTER THE LORD'S SUPPER OR ANTITYPICAL PASSOVER IS INSTITUTED, and IT COMES AT THE END OF THE 430 YEAR PROPHETIC PERIOD OF ABRAHAM WHICH OVERLAPS EZEKIEL'S 430 YEARS." - Ibid, p 8, Ben L. Roden.
From the above references it can be concluded that the half hour silence is the time of the change in Christ's Work from one phase of His Ministration to the next phase of His Harvest Work. At this specified time He finishes the Sealing Phase of His Mediatorial Judicial Work and prepares to begin the Counting Portion or The Judicial Phase of the Harvest and Judgment of the Living in the church.
Inspiration has taught us that:
"Revelation 18:1 prepares the 144,000 to stand without AN INTERCESSOR, (one of two) "Speaking of the finished product, the 144,000 (produced by the 'leaven' that Sr. White said 'will swell') Inspiration describes them as: '.... only those WHO HAVE WITHSTOOD TEMPTATION IN THE STRENGTH OF THE MIGHTY ONE (THE HOLY GHOST), will be permitted to act a part in proclaiming it when it shall have swelled into the Loud Cry.' THE JUDICIAL PHASE" OF THE JUDGMENT OF THE LIVING
At the Passover of 1960, Ben Roden, fulfilling the type of Joshua the son of Nun reinstituted the keeping of the feast in antitype, as Joshua of old reinstituted the Passover before he led the children of Israel into The Promised Land. The Seventh Seal opened during this Passover Week and there began a thirty year overlap of the Sixth and Seventh Seals. During this thirty year period the Book Work and the Sealing for the Living was accomplished by our High Priest in the Most Holy Place of the heavenly Sanctuary. All those who had faith in His Mediatorial Blood Work were covered by His Intercession and all their confessed and repented sins were placed upon the veil of the Sanctuary in heaven. In order for the Final Atonement and the Cleansing of the Sanctuary to be completed, the Record of these confessed and repented sins, both of the Dead and of the Living, must be removed from The Sanctuary by the means that God ordained in the Typical Ceremonial Service - the sacrifices offered on the Day of Atonement (Leviticus 16).
THE TITLES AND WORK OF CHRIST
The different offices and titles that Christ holds and fulfills are not all carried out at the same time. While He is a Priest and Intercessor He does not execute the work of a Judge. He must first finish His Intercessory Mediatorial Blood Work and place His Seal in the minds and hearts of those who by faith accepted His Righteousness, having had faith in the merits of His Blood Work.
After His Mediatorial Blood Work is finished, The Branch goes before His Father and makes the declaration, "It is Finished," He announces with these solemn words that the Sealing Time and its work have ended: "Let him that is unjust be unjust still, let him that is filthy be filthy still, let him that is righteous be righteous still, and let him that is holy be holy still." These words begin the half hour silence, during which The Branch comes before The Father to receive His Judicial Throne (The Merkab) and is crowned King and Judge over His people - those who are called by His Name (Christians - Branches), both the just and the unjust, both the wheat and the tares.
The Lord then takes off His priestly garments and puts on His garments of vengeance - the garments of a judge. The Branch sits upon His Traveling Judicial Throne (Merkab - His Mighty Chariot -the masculine form of Merkabah) and comes to the earth as a "thief in the night" to judge His House or Temple - those who have had the most light - Branch Davidian Seventh-Day Adventists. He begins with the Branches, then the Davidians are judged, followed by the Seventh-Day Adventists. Collectively these movements are represented by The Branch Davidian Seventh-Day Adventist Association who purport to have all the present truth and consequently are supposedly living up to the most light. Each one of these movements claims to have all the present truth. Each one of these movements believes they are the storehouse of truth. Each one of these movements is "increased with goods and in need of nothing"; no more truth or prophets. All these movements are in the Laodicean condition, man following man.
"For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?" 1 Pet 4:17 (NIV)
"The kingdom is given to Christ as soon as He leaves the Throne of Grace (His Mediatorial Throne), and ceases to plead (His Blood) for sinners. From that time the uttermost parts of the earth are His possession, and He at once proceeds to dash the nations in pieces (a work of numbering and separating), so that when His people Israel are planted in the land, the children of wickedness shall not afflict them any more (final separation). The Judicial Work is a work of separating the just from the unjust; a counting or numbering the strength of the Israel of today. The separation is done through a latter-day message that is as fuller's soap, a revelation of The Branch and His Righteousness. This message is about His Counterpart, The Other Comforter, and The Other Intercessor. The Angel of the Lord lightens the whole earth with the Revelation of His Glory and Righteousness. This latter rain message arms the people of God with the means by which they will receive the impartation of the robe of His Righteousness.
The Branch reveals to us how we are to stand in the time of temptation without Him as our Intercessor. He introduces us to the Other Intercessor, the Holy Ghost, Who will give us power to stand in the hour of temptation. This message reveals the "mystery of godliness." It outlines the means by which sinful humanity is to be recreated in the Creators' Image, male and female, and reinstated into their glorious inheritance in the Family of God.
THE ANTITYPICAL PASSOVER -- THE COMING OUT OF EGYPT UNDER JOSHUA THE SON OF NUN
In 1960 Ben L. Roden, who was the antitype of Joshua the Son of Nun, instituted the Antitypical Passover. He acted as high priest before the Mediatorial Judicial Throne when the Branch came to earth to signal the beginning of the purification of His earthly Temple. Ben L. Roden led all those that were "sighing and crying for the sins in the church" out of the wilderness into the promised land or the kingdom of righteousness. It was a fulfillment in antitype of the coming out of the wilderness of sin (Sinai) and going into the "promised land" under Joshua the successor of Moses. Victor T. Houteff was the previous prophet. He fulfilled the antitype of Moses with the Shepherd's Rod who led the people out of their Egyptian bondage. The Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Inspiration tells us, retreated back into Egypt. Thus, the SDA church needed to come out of Egyptian bondage and be freed from Pharaoh's (General Conference President) grasp!
THE ANTITYPICAL PASSOVER -- THE COMING OUT OF BABYLON THE GREAT UNDER JOSHUA THE SON OF JOSEDEK
In 1990 Charles Joseph Pace, who was the antitypical Joshua the son of Josedek, instituted the Antitypical Passover on Mt. Zion Israel. He acted as high priest before the Judicial Throne in behalf of all those who are "sighing and crying" under bondage to sin, in their Babylonian exile, outside the Pure Woman or Church. They are still bound up in the River Euphrates by the doctrines of men - Babylon the Great, "The Mother of Harlots".
This event marked the end of the thirty year period that the Sixth and Seventh Seals overlapped. It represented God's people coming out of Babylonian bondage and repenting of their "ultimate Laodicean condition" - the open and unashamed apostasy in The Branch, The Davidian, and The Seventh-Day Adventist Movement(s). This "Apostate Laodicean Condition" was ultimately and collectively manifested in "The General Association of Branch Davidian Seventh-Day Adventists" or BDSDA. Their claim is that they are the storehouse of all previously revealed truth and are on the cutting edge of presently revealed light. Hence, BDSDA is the ultimate end of the Third Angel's (The Branch) message.
In reviewing Lois Roden's chart entitled, "Heralds of the Morning - The Ministry of the Spirit - A Spiritual Revival and a Spiritual Reformation - In Antitype", the following truths can be determined:
1) According to the 430 years of Ezekiel chapter 4, Passover 1990 marked the end of the German Reformation under Martin Luther the "Father of Faith" who preached that the Righteousness of Christ is received by faith not by works;
2) According to the 430 years to Abraham the "Father of Faith" (Gen 15; Ex 12), Passover 1990 marked the end of the English Reformation under John Knox who preached that the Holy Spirit imparts the Righteousness of Christ;
3) In 1560, the English Reformation was officially recognized in Scotland (1560 + 430 = 1990). At Passover 1990 - antitypical Joshua the son of Josedek (Charles Joseph Pace) officially recognized that the Mediatorial Investigative Work was over and that we had only the One Intercessor, the Holy Ghost, to impart to us the Righteousness of Christ. Joshua officially welcomed the Branch as Judge on His Traveling Judicial Throne (The Merkab) in Jerusalem, at Mt. Moriah (Temple site) and the Mt. of Olives (the site where Christ ascended into heaven).
Both these time lines, "The 430 years of Ezekiel Chapter 4" and "The 430 years of Abraham," indicated that 1990 was the end of their prophetic significance, and thus emphasizing that their literal fulfillment was at hand. When The Branch left the Heavenly Sanctuary to come in Judgment to the earthly extension of the Sanctuary, "there was time no longer"; no more prophetic time as there was when Christ ministered in Heaven. But, we were now on literal earthly time since Christ was now in the earth on His Traveling Judicial Throne. Since we are on literal earthly time and no longer on prophetic time, the calculation of the times appointed in the symbolic service (i.e. the feasts and the daily) becomes a very important consideration to those who want to be in time with Him, withersoever He goeth, in His Work of Atonement and His soon coming Marriage.
At Passover 1990, in fulfillment of the succession of type and antitype, Charles Joseph Pace was anointed to act out the antitype of Joshua the son of Josedek, the high priest described in Zechariah chapter 3. He stands before the Lord, in behalf of the people, in the closing work of The Atonement as outlined in the chapter called "Joshua and The Angel", in Volume 5 of the Testimonies to The Church, pages 468-476. Inspiration states: "Zechariah's vision of Joshua and the Angel, applies with peculiar force to the experience of God's people in the closing up of the great day of Atonement."
The closing act of the Atonement takes place when the High Priest comes out of the Sanctuary with the sins of the congregation and places them on the head of the Scapegoat, at the door of the Tabernacle, in the outer court. When The Branch finished His Blood Work in the Most Holy Place of the Heavenly Sanctuary, He left heaven to come down to earth, the outer court, to place the sins of the congregation on the head of the Scapegoat. In this part of the Atonement, the live offering is set free in the wilderness, to carry away the sins of Israel, and the carcasses of the Bullock and the Goat for the sin offering are taken outside the camp to be consumed by fire. The two Rams for a burnt offering are consumed by fire on the brazen altar, within the outer court of the sanctuary.
Joshua, through the message he relates, is instrumental in bringing about the revival and reformation. Thus he frees God's people from spiritual bondage (Babylonian captivity) allowing them to restore The Temple and its true form of worship - a purified priesthood and congregation. It is important to note that Joshua the son of Josedek was contemporary with King Cyrus, therefore, the literal time of revival and reformation is here!
The Branch has come down to earth on His Judicial Throne - The Merkab - to separate us from our sins and from the sinners in the church. He intends to restore His earthly Sanctuary, and build a Temple for the Holy Ghost, Who will dwell within its midst as the Living Spirit of Prophecy. Joshua will have his garments changed by the Angel of Mercy only when the people receive him as their high priest and the representative of the BRANCH. Joshua represents the congregation before The Branch our Judge and the Holy Ghost our Intercessor. And as high priest he also represents The Living Waters Branch of Righteousness - Two Streams flowing together and becoming One Branch - before the congregation. As a teacher of righteousness, Joshua instructs the people how they must approach their Judge - The Branch - through their Intercessor - The Holy Ghost. Thus he unites them to the Lords of righteousness - The Fountain opened for purification of sin and its uncleanness as depicted in Ezekiel chapter 47.
KING CYRUS--THE ANOINTED OF GOD
"Cyrus holds a special place in the history of Israel. He is mentioned in the prophecies of Deutero-Isaiah, in the Book of Ezra... and in the Book of Daniel (1:12; 6:29; 10:1). In these passages he appears both as one destined to save Israel and to fulfill for it a certain mission on behalf of the God of Israel (Deutero-lsaiah), and as one whose edict and command served as a foundation for the return to Zion and the erection of the destroyed temple (Ezra). Apparently the successes of Cyrus, particularly the preparations and steps that indicated that a struggle between him and Babylon was pending, were in part responsible for rousing Isaiah to utter his prophecies on the imminent redemption of Israel and the impending destruction of Babylon. The hopes of the prophet are clearly expressed in chapter 45:1-13: God turns "to His anointed, to Cyrus," whom he helped in the past and will further help in the continuation of his activities ("I will go before you, and level the mountains; I will break in pieces the doors of bronze, and cut asunder the bars of iron"). Cyrus is to rebuild Jerusalem and restore the exilic community. While he does not yet know the God of Israel ("...I call you by your name, I surname you, though you do not know Me"), he may eventually do so, due to the great assistance he will receive from Him. Delivered before the event, this prophecy reveals the feelings and hopes of the prophet who awaits the conquest of Babylon and its punishment (Isa. 46:1-2; 47). ...Nevertheless, the place occupied by Cyrus in Deutero-lsaiah should not be exaggerated. Although he occasioned many of the prophecies of Deutero-lsaiah, and his appearance was of great importance to the prophet, it is the people of Israel and its God that stand at the center of the prophecy. Cyrus is merely an instrument for the realization of the redemption of Israel through the will of its God. He is understandably a sympathetic figure, for he is a redeemer and not a "rod of anger," but it should not be assumed from his designation "anointed" and "shepherd" that he had an eschatological role or any function after the redemption of Israel (such as being their ruler in place of the House of David, etc.). ...An explanation of the relations between Cyrus and the Jews rests upon an understanding of his general policy, particularly in Babylon itself. This policy was based upon benevolence toward the conquered, support and sympathy for their gods, and a correction of the injustices done to them by the previous ruler Nabinidus, or in the case of the Jews of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar. In conformity with this policy, he restored the Babylonian gods to their temples, reconstructed temples that had been neglected in the time of his predecessor, and even returned exiles to their homes...His policy toward the Jews was similar to that toward the Babylonians. These principles find expression in the Hebrew edict issued to the Jews of Babylon (538 B.C.E.), which appears in Ezra 1:1-2... There Cyrus attributes his decision to erect the temple to a command of God, just as he attributed his actions in Babylon to an order of Marduk. An additional document of his concerning the erection of the Temple is more administrative in nature and deals with the architectural and financial details of the building (Ezra 6:3-5)...
"IN THE AGGADAH: Contradictory opinions are held about Cyrus, the Palestinian rabbis giving a rather favorable account of him while the Babylonians censure him. He was descended from Japheth who was thus rewarded for his commendable behavior toward Noah when drunk. He was chosen by God together with Darius as the instrument of His vengeance against Babylon. Influenced by Daniel's prophecy to Belshazzar (Dan. 5:28) Darius and Cyrus slew him and vowed that they would permit the Jews to return to the Land of Israel with the Temple vessels. His name is regarded as an anagram of the word kasher ("worthy"). He pledged that he would contribute to the Temple service and discovered the treasures that Nebuchadnezzar had hidden. He wept at the destruction of the Temple and as a reward the Medes received the domination of the world and he was thus vouchsafed to sit on the throne of Solomon. Although he granted the Jews permission to rebuild the Temple he permitted the use of wood only, so that it would be easily destroyed should they rebel against him. Moreover when he noticed that the Babylonian cities became desolate because of the emigration of the Jews he forbade them to leave the country." The Judaica Encyclopedia, "Cyrus," p 1185-1186.
ANTITYPICAL KING CYRUS - DAVID KORESH
The name of King Cyrus means "sun" and in Hebrew is translated as Koresh which means "worthy". God anointed Cyrus even at his birth to fulfill the divine plan of his life. Nevertheless, he remained a heathen king and maintained his traditional heathen beliefs and practices. He never was converted to the religion of the Jews, but he was used by God to free them from Babylonian bondage. Cyrus not only aided them in their return to Jerusalem but he helped finance the reconstruction of the city and the restoration of the temple.
In the late summer of 1990 Vernon Howell changed his name to David Koresh. This name change fulfilled the Cyrus type and the coming out of Babylon. What still remained was the return of Joshua the son of Josedek to lead out in the complete restoration of the spiritual Temple (made of "lively stones") and its system of true worship. In these latter days the types of Ezra and Nehemiah, Haggai and Zechariah must also be fulfilled. If there was an antitype of Cyrus (Koresh), then these other types must have their antitypical fulfillment also. The Revival and Reformation must come to purify and restore the Temple, the priesthood and the congregation, and to re-institute true worship under The Branch Theocracy; a pure Theocracy; not a Theocratic monarchy. That is fulfilled. Inspiration has shown us what The Lord desires, and always has. "God means what He says, 'I desire a change here.' THE LORD WANTS THE HOLY SPIRIT TO BE KING". (EGW GCB April 1, 1901). The LORD wants to setup the House of David in the earth through the HOLY GHOST. The Heavenly House of David, "In Earth as it is in Heaven."
THE ELIJAH AND THE ELISHA TYPE -THE ANGEL OF THE LORD AND JOSHUA
Joshua the high priest represents the people before The Traveling Judicial Throne. He is clothed with filthy garments depicting his own spiritual condition and that of the people he represents. Joshua stands and pleads for the people before our only remaining Intercessor the Angel of Mercy, The Holy Ghost. Satan stands at his right hand to accuse him and to remind him that he and the people are sinners and do not deserve to be released from his control. Joshua and the people are in the ultimate Laodicean condition - dead in trespasses and sins. "Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwells with the daughter of Babylon." Zechariah 2:7. While living among the Babylonians, the Israel of God have become lukewarm and have forgotten how God has led them in the past. "And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved." Hosea 12:13
"The message of Elijah that restores all things is indeed an addition to the Third Angel's message, and it shall certainly swell into a loud cry. It shall gather God's people from the four corners of the Earth and bring them out of Babylon, as the earth is lightened with the glory of The Angel (of Mercy) Rev. 18:1-4 ...". 2 Timely Greetings #3 p 8-9
The English spelling of the name ELIJAH is in the Hebrew a feminine gender noun with the "ah" ending. The name EL-I-JAH also implies the fullness and power of the God Family. EL - the Father; I - the I Am, the Divine Mother; JAH - Jahshua, the Son; and J AH - AH, the Feminine Adam - the Holy Ghost, that came forth from the Second Adam. Thus, the name ELIJAH denotes the spirit and power of the God Family as conveyed to humanity through the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Restorer of all things, even eternal life without seeing death.
The ELIJAH who restores all things is not a man, but the Author and Giver of Life, the Mother of All Living, the HOLY GHOST. The Spirit of Prophecy Herself is the Author and Interpreter of the Scriptures. THE ANGEL OF THE LORD will RESTORE ALL THINGS even eternal life without seeing death. The Spirit and Power of Resurrection and Life will renew and restore our hearts, our minds and our bodies as She has done for Jesus and the resurrected Wavesheaf. ELIJAH the Holy Ghost took away the curse of sin and death from Jesus and the Wavesheaf, completely restoring to them all that was lost.
"See, I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes. He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers: or else I will come and strike the land with a curse." — Malachi 4:5,6 (NIV)
ELIJAH turns the heart of Yeshua toward His children. Through obedience She turns the rebellious hearts of Her children toward their Father. Only a Mother, the Mother of All the Living, Who has given us spiritual life through our spiritual birth, could accomplish such an act of love and mercy. She renews our stony hearts to hearts of flesh, thereby restoring us to the perfect and holy Image of our Everlasting Father and Creator. Her mercy and compassion covers our unrighteous behavior. With Her robe of Christ's righteousness She covers Her disobedient children as a mother hides her children behind her skirt or apron from their father's deserved punishment. The Father then only sees the Mother's mercy and love covering His disobedient children.
Our Father can see the mercy and love of the Holy Ghost only when His children choose to hide behind Her righteous covering. Thus, She justifies Her children before their Father, the righteous Judge, Who only sees His Glory when He looks down from His Throne of Judgment. His heart is turned towards them, for they know and acknowledge their Mother as their only Intercessor and as the Father's Helpmate. The Father is so moved by the respect and obedience given by the children to their Mother that He grants them pardon. They have met the requirements of His law and have been justified and restored to His good graces through the Intercession of the Holy Ghost.
"Prophecy must be fulfilled. The Lord says: 'Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet (the Spirit of Prophecy) before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.' Somebody is to come in the spirit and power of Elijah, and when he appears, men may say: "You are too earnest, you do not interpret the Scriptures in the proper way. Let me tell you how to teach your message." Testimonies to Ministers, p 475.
The one who comes in the spirit and power of Elijah can only be Joshua the high priest. He has "the garment change" first. Elijah the Holy Ghost casts Her mantle of truth and righteousness upon Elisha, the Joshua of today, and his filthy garments are taken away. Joshua receives a double portion, a message of Yehshua The Branch and of the power of His righteousness the Holy Ghost. He is empowered from on high to teach this glorious message and in turn empower and crown those that the Lord names. Elisha, the teacher of righteousness, will reestablish the school of the prophets where those that sit before him will learn unadulterated truth from the Spirit of Prophecy. As they accept this message they will also be doubly blessed and covered with Her mantle of truth and righteousness. The Holy Ghost will crown them and give them the gifts needed to finish Their work in the earth and to cut it short in righteousness. They will also become prophets as they graduate from this real life-training course.
HOW THE BRANCH, REVELATION 18:1, INCURS THE MARK OF THE BEAST
"The ENEMIES of the JUDGMENT MESSAGE IN THE CHURCH AND the ENEMIES of the JUDGMENT MESSAGE IN THE WORLD are BOTH imbued with the SPIRIT of the BEAST -both doing the SAME KIND OF WORK against God's people FIRST IN THE CHURCH then IN THE WORLD." - Lesson 7, p 4.
"...The same Satanic power will soon manifest itself, in consolidation with the BEAST, within the churches in Babylon, there to oppose the MARKING of the second fruits as it is NOW IN LAODICEA opposing the MARKING of the firstfruits." Tract 9 p 63
"...THE SUREST WAY OF ERRING AND LOOSING OUT IS TO GIVE EAR TO THE VOICE OF MEN (OR WOMEN) IN THE PLACE OF THE VOICE OF GOD." White House Recruiter p 46:2
"THE BEAST WE ARE TOLD IS A MAN..THE DEMAND TO WORSHIP, OBEY THE BEAST'S COMMAND, THEREFORE, IS A DEMAND TO WORSHIP (OR OBEY) MAN IN PLACE OF GOD. BOTH MARKS are for no other purpose but for to DEFINE who is who - who is FOR GOD and who is FOR THE BEAST." - Lesson 7, p 5.
To truly understand how the Branch Davidian Seventh-Day Adventist Movement incurred the mark of the beast instead of the mark or Seal of God, it is important to note that in the Scriptures a beast is a symbol of a system of government. In this case it is a religio-political and economic system. A theocracy would also be a religio-political and economic system of government. The only difference is that in a theocracy God is in control through a man chosen by Him; whereas in the beast system, Satan is in control through a man chosen by men. In the beast system, as in the ultimate Laodicean Church, a man or an organization elected by the people agrees to govern the body of believers that have elected or chosen them. These believers fully uphold and support their leadership in whatever circumstance or demand that might present itself, even if it meant breaking the requirements of God. Of course, the Word of God rationalizes each and every degrading and demoralizing step. They are frequently drilled to be in one accord with the leadership and not to go off on their own. Thus, their feelings of conscience are quieted and they become more deeply entrenched in this system of deceit and falsehood, receiving the mark, which is the number of a man - the mark of the beast.
The number 666 symbolizes this perfectly man-made religio-political economic system of government known as The Beast". Since man was created on the sixth day, six is the number of man in the Scriptures. In the system of government known as The Beast the number 666 depicts the three levels controlled by man's ideas - 6 = religion, 6 = politics and 6 = economics.
The Branch incurred the mark of the beast when the people chose for themselves a leader and a king instead of accepting God's anointed priest and judge. David Koresh fulfilled the dual type of a sinful king (David) and a heathen king (Cyrus). The people followed him in his apostasy and in his open rebellion to the requirements of the Law of God. He openly declared himself, as Lucifer did in heaven, to be equal to the Son of God. David Koresh claimed to be the Lamb of God and the Lion of the Tribe of Judah Who alone was able to open the Seven Seals.
In order that the Word of God (Christ) in the Message of The Branch might be crucified afresh bv His professed believers, the Lord allowed Vernon to teach his message and to bring the curse of sin upon the Branch and Davidian Message(s). Through Vernon's prophetic claims and unorthodox lifestyle, the name of The Branch was made a curse in the whole earth. His disciples blindly accepted his dictatorial hold upon them, allowing him to live in open sin without question or rebuke. This lukewarm attitude revealed the true condition and motives of their hearts. These "position seekers" were willing to do anything that the man they had chosen to follow commanded. They became perfect Laodiceans.
They gave up their wives and allowed them to commit adultery. They gave their young daughters and the unmarried women as concubines to commit fornication with their leader. The married men went against their marriage vows and became celibate. Celibacy as a way of life is not a requirement to be practiced by the Levitical or the Melchizedek priesthood. But, it is the position the Roman Catholic Church takes with its priesthood and nuns.
The Roman church is the counterfeit of God's system of government and is symbolized by the non-descript beast in Daniel. This beast system takes the position that all the nuns (females in the church order) are married to Christ or to His vicar or representative the pope. In the Roman church many nuns secretly bear children sired by the priest in charge of their convent. As in the case at New Mt. Carmel, Vernon claimed all the women there as his and sired several children secretly. The Lord, however, revealed his secret sins to the world, even though his followers still try to deny that he had any such relations. Especially one who is a wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked Laodicean, like Vernon Howell, will not mock the Lord.
The law of God states, "Thou shalt not commit adultery." This includes any immoral sexual acts or perversions. According to God's Law, married women are not to give themselves over to another man and to bear his children. This is an abomination to the Lord! The Lord changes not!
The Law also states, "You must not be envious of your neighbor's house, or want to sleep with his wife, or want to own his slaves, oxen, donkeys, or anything else he has." Exodus 20:17 (TLB) This commandment has both moral and physical aspects to consider. Vernon desired his followers to give all they had to him: their money, their possessions, their wives, their husbands, their children, their bodies, their hearts, their minds and their lives.
This requirement is also characteristic of the Roman church. Before the pope lost his ultimate power and authority, he claimed ownership of all that his followers possessed. The Scriptures tell us that, "We are not our own," but, that we are bought with the price of our Lord's death. All that we possess belongs to Him already. So to give ourselves to anyone else would be presumption.
Vernon Howell made an "image" to this "non-descript beast" - the Roman church — when he set up his false system of government in the Branch Movement. The Lord allowed this "abomination that maketh desolate" to be set up in the holy place — where the Branch placed His name and where His Truth was taught - in order that the Word of Truth in The Branch Message would be crucified afresh and that the Final Atonement be made for the Living.
"The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. For everything that God created (not man) is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer. If you point these things out to the brothers, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, brought up in the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed." - 1 Timothy 4:1-6 (NIV)
HOSEA'S PROPHESY OF THE BRANCH APOSTASY
"When Ephraim spoke, men trembled; he was exalted in Israel. But he became guilty of Baal worship and died." Hosea 13:1 (NIV) "And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver, and idols according to their own understanding (preconceived ideas, habits, practices), all of it the work of the craftsmen (choresh • khoresh - a fabricator, a devisor of that which is bad, a doer of magical craft, a cunning artificer, one who works in secret - taken from Strong's Hebrew Diet.): they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves." Hosea 13:2 (KJV)
David Koresh cunningly and craftily devised his plan to overturn the government that the Lord Himself ordained in the Branch Movement. He deceived himself and the people through his own private interpretations, ideas and practices. Thus, his followers, loyal to the death, assisted in molding Vernon Howell into their "idol shepherd."
"They shall disappear like morning mist, like dew that quickly dries away, like chaff blown by the wind, like a cloud of smoke. I alone am God, your Lord, and have been ever since I brought you out from Egypt (SDA bondage). You have no God but me, for there is no other Savior (but the Branch). I took care of you in the wilderness, in that dry and thirsty land (SDA - Egypt)." Hosea 13:3-5 (TLB)
